Overview

We are seeking a Laser Programmer/Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC laser cutting equipment. Experience with Amada laser machines is strongly preferred, but candidates with programming experience on other laser systems will be considered and trained.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
• Create nests to maximize material utilization.
• Edit and modify CAD files as needed.
• Monitor production and ensure quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot machine and design issues.
• Plan workflow and maintain efficient machine operation.
• Support shop operations and collaborate with machinists and management.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming and machine operation.
• Amada laser experience preferred.
• CAD/CAM and drafting experience strongly preferred.
• Sheet metal fabrication and nesting experience are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and customer specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
