We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependableCNC Laser Operatorto join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment, reading blueprints, performing quality inspections, and maintaining production standards in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in producing high-quality metal components while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to produce metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
- Load and unload raw materials onto the laser cutting table using overhead cranes or forklifts (if certified).
- Verify dimensions and inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues to maintenance or supervisors.
- Remove scrap material and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Accurately complete production documentation and quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine controls is a plus.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
