POSITION SUMMARY: The Landscaping Manager oversees the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are attractive, safe, and well-maintained. This role supervises landscaping staff, coordinates projects, and manages schedules, budgets, and resources. The position also ensures quality standards, supports landscape design efforts, and promotes environmentally sustainable practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and oversee daily landscaping operations to ensure grounds are maintained to a high-quality, visually appealing standard.
- Supervise, train, and develop team members while fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities including mowing, planting, irrigation, tree care, and seasonal projects.
- Inspect property regularly and ensure timely resolution of maintenance, safety, and appearance issues.
- Manage landscaping resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support budget planning and monitor expenses within approved guidelines.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and repair of landscaping equipment and systems, including irrigation and wells.
- Oversee seasonal needs such as snow and ice removal, debris cleanup, special events and weather-related response.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and environmental best practices, including chemical applications.
- Communicate effectively with leadership regarding operational needs, challenges, and improvements.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum Years of experience: 5+ years of experience in resort landscaping or related field. 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- License(s) Required: Possess a valid Missouri “E” or Arkansas “P” driver’s license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Advanced knowledge of landscaping practices, horticulture, plant health, and seasonal landscape design.
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems, grounds maintenance programs, and long-term landscape planning.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and hold teams accountable to performance standards.
- Proficiency in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to support operational and capital projects.
- Ability to analyze operations, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely and informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with leadership, team members, and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations, environmental practices, and chemical application standards.
- Proficiency in work order management systems, employee managements systems and Office 365.
- Ability to monitor quality standards and ensure a high level of service and presentation.
- Proficiency in equipment management, including maintenance planning and lifecycle oversight.
- Must meet and maintain the company’s driving eligibility requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular computer work, walking, sitting, standing and lifting up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs on occasion.
