The Raytheon Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Finance team has an immediate opening for a Program Cost Controls Analyst (grade P2). This role supports the Land Warfare and Air Defense (LWAD) Mission Area, specifically the portfolio based out of West Operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities at the Program / Mission Area level.

  • Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and mission area cost elements to help define and understand the monthly variances to Budget baseline and EAC positions.

  • Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.

  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.

  • Work closely with various functional organizations during the EAC development process; as well as monitoring these organizations performance against agreed upon budgets.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related topic

  • Typically requires 2+ years finance work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 0-2+ years prior relevant experience

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel

  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with contractual EVMS reporting, working in APEX/PRISM EVMS systems.

  • Experience in using SAP R/3 Business Systems (APEX, PRISM, Business Warehouse).

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Able to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply solutions and process improvements in a fast-paced changing business environment.

  • Clear, succinct written and verbal communication skills and experience working within teams.

  • Working knowledge of financial planning system (RPlan).

  • Defense Contracting Finance work experience and an understanding of accounting standards and practices.

  • Comfort and willingness to taking on new challenges.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
