Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. This role supports production and maintenance operations, as well as various projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manufacturing repair and spare parts, as well as consumable items needed for production processes. The ability to operate both conventional and CNC machines while adhering to safety standards and procedures is essential.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Support production and maintenance teams with machining tasks.
Manufacture repair and spare parts for production equipment.
Produce consumable items required for production processes.
Operate conventional and CNC machines safely and efficiently.
Take pride in personal workspace organization and cleanliness.
Apply and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
Collaborate with team members on various projects.

Qualifications Required:

5-8 years of proven experience in the machine shop environment.
Ability to comfortably work at various heights and equipment levels.
Ability to work in a standing position while operating equipment.
Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
Ability to follow safe work instructions.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Understands and applies ISO standard tolerancing system and ASME Y14.5 standard
Read, write and understand G/M-code
Willingness to take Mechanical/Machinist Aptitude Test.
Ability & Availability to complete additional college level courses if deemed necessary by REA Wire.

Competencies

Ability to use and understand measurement equipment. Dial Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators & Inspection / Calibration equipment.
Problem Solving for mechanical applications
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanic, piping, boiler, and steam systems is helpful
Preventative Maintenance
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

A thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment
Workplace standardization and cleanliness (5-S)
Operator Maintenance (clean, inspect, lubricate)
