JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, general cleanup, assisting mechanics and overall appearance of the General Shop

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform and document all required General Shop inspections.
• Make sure all trash receptacles are emptied and walkways are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Assisting other mechanics as needed and completing special projects for the shop Supervisor.
• Wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE) related to task being performed as well as using all required safety equipment and procedures.
• Maintaining a neat and professional appearance of self and shop areas.
• Perform Lawn maintenance when necessary.
• Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/Education/Skill

• Excellent verbal, written and comprehension and communication skill.
• Able to perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner.
• Dolese Bros. Co. forklift certified.
• Must possess a mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to do heavy lifting.
• Good safety and driving record.
• Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required.
• Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
• Ability to wear a respirator and perform work.
• Self-motivated, organized and can work without direct supervision.
• Ability to work near, around or on light or heavy equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently
• Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders
• Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
• Ability to use vibration tools repeatedly
• Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
• Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing / walking / sitting
• Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
