Compensation: $21.48 - $21.48 /hourly

Tessera is seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to support the Base Maintenance Contract at USAFA. This role is essential to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the installation. The Laborer performs a variety of manual tasks including material handling, refuse collection, snow removal, and general facility support.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Load/unload trucks and move materials using hand tools
- Organize supplies for storage and binning
- Collect refuse and clean culverts, ditches, roofs, and gutters
- Perform earthwork, shovel snow/concrete, and spread deicer
- Move heavy furniture, appliances, and equipment
- Clean work areas and dispose of trash and debris
- Assist with event setup and removal of packing materials
- Support minor repairs and road patching
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct across the installation
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of general labor or maintenance experience preferred
- Experience working on military installations or government contracts is a plus
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and manual labor techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
