QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four-year college degree in a technical subject or equivalent combination of education and experience in aluminum or manufacturing laboratory.
• Must have the ability to build and sustain good working relationship and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be achievement motivated
• High energy level
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills (Verbal, Written, and Listening)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The laboratory technicians in the Century Aluminum Central Laboratory are responsible for safely, accurately, and reliably performing the routine analyses required for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the Century Aluminum plants.

The successful completion of these objectives requires a person with an unrelenting focus on safety, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. In order to provide the requisite analyses in a timely manner, the individuals in this role share the responsibility of completing the majority of our analyses in the late night/early morning to provide timely results for production employees to begin their shift.
