Description
Lab Technicians perform a variety of tests on company products required to ensure compliance with customer and company quality requirements.
Duties:
• Provide laboratory analysis problem solving support as required for new and current programs.
• Support quality engineering activity for sample submission from suppliers and to customers.
• Operate Laboratory equipment necessary to support company needs.
• Responsible for gage calibration and maintenance system consistent with the quality system requirements as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Provide analysis feedback to production, process engineering and quality engineering as part of setup, ongoing inspection activity or process improvements.
• Maintain Laboratory environmental and cleanliness standards.
• Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality system.
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels.
• Verify implementation of solutions.
• Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.
• Advise Senior Management of those situations which may pose a significant risk to the program, product quality, employee safety or impact the customer satisfaction results.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
