Lab Technician
Covington, GA
Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11:30am with occasional overtime (training on 1st shift for approximately 1 month)
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, the selected candidate will support all quality assurance for production on 2nd shift.
Direct liaison between production and the quality of our products.
Taking on this position you will perform quality checks of raw materials, submit daily batch release reports and enter all quality assurance test results while keeping up with production. You will be working real time with production.
Execute and adhere to all EHS requirement as well as maintain a safe work environment and follow internal safety rules and procedures including wearing proper, PPE as appropriate.
Participates in the general housekeeping of the lab and certain areas of the plant.
Submits daily routine batch release report and immediately notifies all affected personnel of any rejected batch/ lot number prior to shipping to customer.
Team player; volunteers to help where needed to get job done and enhance skills.
Works with some direction and supervision of Senior Lab Technicians and the Site Quality Manager
Communicates all critical issues and problems concerning, QA, test equipment problems, schedule changes, and assignments to the Facility Technical Manager
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED and 2 year Community college or equivalent AA degree in chemistry or biochemistry. Relevant experience as a laboratory Technician or equivalent in a chemical manufacturing setting may be considered as acceptable in lieu of education.
Three or more years of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and Word is required.
One or more years of experience in a controlled lab environment.
As Lab Technician, you will be fully engaged with our standards and will become a technology expert. You will work directly with timing of production and could be involved in multiple processes.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $22.50/hr.In addition to your salary, H.B.
