Description

Lab Technicians perform a variety of tests on company products required to ensure compliance with customer and company quality requirements.

Duties:

• Provide laboratory analysis problem solving support as required for new and current programs.

• Support quality engineering activity for sample submission from suppliers and to customers.

• Operate Laboratory equipment necessary to support company needs.

• Responsible for gage calibration and maintenance system consistent with the quality system requirements as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.

• Provide analysis feedback to production, process engineering and quality engineering as part of setup, ongoing inspection activity or process improvements.

• Maintain Laboratory environmental and cleanliness standards.

• Adhere to all company guidelines for Emergency Evacuation to ensure employee safety.

• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

• Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to product, process and quality system.

• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process or quality system.

• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels.

• Verify implementation of solutions.

• Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.

• Advise Senior Management of those situations which may pose a significant risk to the program, product quality, employee safety or impact the customer satisfaction results.

• Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.

Requirements

High School degree required or equivalent; Associate’s Degree or other college experience preferred
Previous lab experience in a textile or manufacturing setting a plus
Math skills required for lab calculations
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word & Outlook

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
Must be able to bend, sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to operate and activate machinery
Must be able to differentiate colors and color detail
