Job Overview:

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Lab System Assembly Technician will be responsible for the hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of laboratory equipment, including the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical components. This role ensures systems are built correctly, documented clearly, and ready on time to meet quality and production goals. Employee is responsible to comply with Resintech/Aries policies and procedures.  

Primary Responsibility

  • Assemble electromechanical subassemblies and complete ultrapure water systems per controlled procedures, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
  • Route and connect tubing and wiring; install fittings, pumps, valves, filters, and PCBs
  • Perform system testing, calibration, and functional checks using gauges, software, and established protocols
  • Troubleshoot and repair returned systems or in-process units to resolve functional issues and ensure they meet operational specifications
  • Document issues, suggest improvements, and work with Engineering to submit ECRs when necessary
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks of incoming parts and outgoing units
  • Package, label, and prepare products for stock or shipment according to work instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Secondary Responsibility

  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory management as needed
  • Support engineering with validation builds and process feedback during new product development
  • Participate in procedure development for new or improved assembly processes

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical or fluid-handling equipment assembly
  • Training or certification in soldering or wiring preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with hand tools, crimpers, power tools, and torque drivers

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to frequently lift 20 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Fine motor skills required for small part assembly and electrical work
  • Standing for long periods of time

work environment

  • Employee will work primarily in the assembly lab, but might be asked to assist standard production line
