Lab Supply Technician – JLL

What this job involves:

The Lab Supply Technician plays a vital role in supporting our Research and Development operations by managing the centralized inventory of laboratory equipment, supplies, chemicals, glassware, and specialized materials. This position ensures that R&D teams have immediate access to the tools and materials they need to advance critical projects while maintaining strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Working collaboratively across departments, you'll contribute directly to maintaining operational excellence and supporting groundbreaking research initiatives. This hands-on role combines inventory management expertise with laboratory services support, making it essential to our scientific operations and JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage centralized storeroom operations, maintaining minimum/maximum inventory levels through accurate requisition placement and purchasing system coordination
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies against specifications, ensuring proper storage, containment, and documentation for all materials including chemicals and specialized equipment
  • Issue materials against approved requisitions, maintaining detailed records of stock receipts, distribution, inventory control, and pricing information
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify items requiring repair, salvage, or replacement, promptly notifying management of maintenance needs
  • Deliver laboratory materials, chemicals, and supplies to designated laboratories and supply cabinets throughout the facility
  • Execute all activities in strict accordance with written procedures, verbal instructions, and federal, state, and local safety and quality regulations
  • Support other laboratory services operations as needed, collaborating with team members to achieve departmental and company goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with ability to complete appropriate vehicle operation training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management, stockroom operations, or laboratory supply coordination
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements for handling and storing laboratory materials and chemicals
  • Proficiency in purchasing systems and inventory management software
  • Proven ability to maintain accurate documentation and records in a regulated environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with commitment to following established procedures and protocols

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in laboratory or research facility environments
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, glassware, and chemical handling procedures
  • Basic knowledge of hazardous materials storage and containment requirements
  • Experience with receiving, inspection, and quality control processes
  • Ability to lift and transport laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain orderly storage systems
  • Collaborative work style with effective communication skills across diverse teams

Location: Onsite

Estimated compensation for this position:

71,926.00 – 71,926.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
