As a Jr. Product Manager with The Modal Shop, you will develop extensive knowledge of the product line, make sound product management decisions, provide support to sales and marketing groups, demonstrate strong leadership qualities, and provide concentrated training in specific product lines to application engineers and sales channels. \

This role will support the Portable Vibration Calibrator product line. This is a hardware instrumentation product in the field of vibration testing and calibration. 

Additional Duties: 

  • Portfolio Management
    • Helps set technological direction for product and initiates incremental product improvements and proposes new product offerings.
    • Conduct periodic product cost and profitability reviews. 
    • Analyze and report on competitive landscape. 
    • Product lifecycle management.
    • Update internal and external price list.
    • Demand forecasting. 
  • Product Line Support
    • Assist Application Engineers and Field Service Engineers with high level technical questions.
    • Review internal and external information related to product for accuracy. 
    • Support trade show and customer visits. 
    • Hands-on beta testing
  • Technical Information Development and Organization
    • Generate technical literature.
    • Plan and maintain sales demonstrations kits.
    • Develop product brochures, flyers, website tools. 
    • Develop materials for on-site or virtual product training. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Four-year technical degree or equivalent specialized training.
  • Experience: One to three years of related experience using/supporting electromechanical or test and measurement equipment.
  • Travel Requirement: As needed to support customers and attend trade shows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree
  • Two to five years of related experience with electromechanical systems or test and measurement equipment.
