SUMMARY

The Sales Associate generates and qualifies leads from marketing activity to develop new pipeline for the sales teams. The Sales Associate supports revenue growth by working in conjunction with sales representatives on specific strategies and activities.
 

JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE

  • Maintains communication lines with sales team for all lead generation campaigns. Works with Marketing Management to evaluate the success of proposed campaigns based on past performance. 
  • Engaged with a training program to further develop, build and support your knowledge of corrugated manufacturing.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with sales force to understand and serve their needs as a first-line of support on all leads, systems, and applications.
  • Supports driving sales growth and revenue with new and existing customers through generation of leads and various prospecting activities.
  • Identifies prospective clients online and in CRM to target appropriate contact people and captures relevant information. Collects, tracks and summarizes performance and customer data. 
  • Researches matters relating to account assignments, contracts, opportunities/quotes, booking transactions, and/or accounts receivables. 
  • Assembles presentations and prepares sales reports at the direction of the Sales Team. Informs sales team of key dates and criteria of marketing programs.
  • Serves as a liaison and coordinates processes to involve relevant members of sales, marketing, design, operations and the sales team. 
  • Drives process improvement initiatives across the sales organization that will enhance sales force productivity and efficiency.
  • Drives planning efforts for customer visits, sales training events and Sales Meetings. Assists the sales team with developing sales forecasts; Assists with customer meetings and sales calls.
  • Develops thorough understanding of Bay Cities capabilities, products and services and represents the organization at appropriate functions.  
  • Organizes and prompts sales executives with appropriate activities (i.e. follow up calls, prospect visits, client outreach, etc.).
  • Follows-up in a timely fashion and thoroughly qualifies marketing and sales leads. 
  • Uses CRM system to assist in reporting pipeline and prospecting activities.
  • Remains knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
  • Represents the Company as part of the Sales Group at trade shows as needed.
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations alongside Account Executives; understands and clearly articulates Bay Cities value proposition.
  • Develops a deep subject matter knowledge of all Bay Cities solutions and their use in practical business settings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • BA/BS in Business related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years sales/sales support or customer service experience considered.
  • Experience in the corrugated, display or packaging industry a plus.
  • Strong understanding of direct/database marketing and analytics.
  • Intermediate Computer Skills Utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools.  
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency in English, grammar, and proofreading skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to effectively speak and present in front of small or large groups.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer records.
  • Excellent solution selling skills while being able to work with all departments and all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities across the organization.
  • Strong internal customer service skills; ability to respond in a prompt, polite and efficient manner. 
  • Valid Driver's License with DMV evidence of good driving record and reliable transportation.

  • Work environment includes front-office and manufacturing in California.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
