About the Role

LACO Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman TIG Welder/Fitter for precision TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum vacuum chambers, frames, and fixtures. This is a key hands-on role where your craftsmanship directly contributes to high-performance systems used across aerospace, automotive, medical/pharma, and advanced technology industries.

You’ll work in a clean, organized, temperature-controlled weld shop, never a dirty or outdoor environment.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Perform precision TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum
• Complete accurate fit ups based on engineering requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams
• Operate fabrication equipment (lathes, mills, saws, metal rolls, Iron Worker)
• Track and organize tasks efficiently
• Follow all LACO safety procedures
• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

• Minimum 7 years of welding experience
• Strong TIG skills
• Experience building big parts 60” and bigger
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints
• Reliable, punctual, independent worker
• High attention to quality and safety

Compensation

• $28.00 – $33.00 per hour depending on experience and weld test performance
• Shift differential included opportunities for overtime
