Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Our client is a national leader in live sports broadcast production, supporting major networks such as Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Scripps Sports, and others. Our Mountain Media Center (MMC) is a 325,000 sq. ft. broadcast and data center campus operating 24/7, powering live production, master control, and mission‑critical technology systems.

We are expanding our Integrated Site Operations (ISO) team and seeking aJourneyman Electricianto maintain the electrical backbone that keeps live sports on the air.

Position Overview

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across office, broadcast, anddata centerenvironments. This role supports critical infrastructure including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, and power distribution for 24/7 broadcast operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including wiring, panels, switchgear, and lighting.
  • Support and troubleshootUPS systems, generators, and backup power infrastructure.
  • Perform diagnostics using multimeters, continuity tests, voltage-drop tests, and schematics.
  • Coordinate with BMS/controls teams on power monitoring and system performance.
  • Work with HVAC teams on VFDs, motor controls, and equipment power.
  • Support tenant improvements, build-outs, inspections, and contractor coordination.
  • Maintain life-safety systems including fire alarm circuits, emergency lighting, and access-control power.
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including as-builts, load calculations, and work orders.
  • Follow NEC/NFPA 70, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and all safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • ActiveColorado Journeyman Electrician licenseor ability to obtain reciprocity (8,000+ supervised hours).
  • 4+ years commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge ofNEC/NFPA 70.
  • Experience with panels, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and motor controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and as-built drawings.
  • Comfortable with emergency response and rotating on-call shifts.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in adata center, broadcast facility, or other mission‑critical 24/7 environment.
  • Familiarity with BMS, access control, and fire alarm integration.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices.
  • Master Electrician license or actively pursuing one.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs; work in confined spaces and raised floors.
  • Comfortable working at heights and around energized equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Compensation:$32.00 – $47.00 DOE
