Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Journeyman Electrician to support a high-demand industrial electrical facility. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of high-voltage electrical systems, backup power systems, and automated controls.
This is a strong opportunity for electricians with industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or utility experience who want to work on advanced electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial systems
- Operate and maintain switchgear, panels, and power distribution equipment
- Work with high-voltage systems (208V, 480V, and above)
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems (I/O, sensors, fault codes)
- Maintain and troubleshoot generators and transfer switches
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams
- Update panel schedules and perform load balancing
- Install and maintain conduit, cable tray, and wiring systems
- Follow LOTO, arc flash, and OSHA safety procedures
- Complete work orders, logs, and documentation accurately
Required Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician License (Alabama or reciprocal state)
5+ years of industrial or commercial electrical experience
Strong experience with:- Switchgear and electrical distribution systems
- High-voltage electrical work (208V+)
- PLC troubleshooting (ladder logic, I/O, controls)
- Generators and backup power systems
- Electrical safety (LOTO, PPE, energized work practices)
Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex systems
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or critical facilities
Experience with:- 480V / 3-phase systems
- Automatic transfer switches (ATS)
- Instrumentation and control wiring
- BMS/BAS or industrial monitoring systems
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Familiarity with NFPA 70E standards
