Journeyman Certified CNC Machinist needed for a **contract **opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Newark DE.

**As a journeyman certified machinist, you will be a highly skilled professional capable of operating machine tools, interpreting blueprints, and producing stock shapes and precision parts, while also ensuring quality and safety standards are met. **

• Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders)
• Interpreting blueprints and producing precision metal parts
• Journeyman Certificate Required
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Pay Rate – $34.00 hourly – $34.00 hourly

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operates lathes, grinders, and milling machines, ensuring quality and conformance with standard operating procedures.
• Performs minor maintenance functions within the operating area and within level of expertise.
• Tool Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings for each job, considering material type and desired outcome.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to verify that dimensions and surface finishes meet specifications, identifying and resolving any issues.
• Safety: Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary. Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Other duties may be assigned by manager and/or supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating lathes and grinders
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Basic Math and Computer skills.
• -Good interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
• -Ability to read and comprehend Standard Practice documents and other written instructions.
• -Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• -Ability to troubleshoot machine issues, identify process improvements, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• JOURNEYMANS CERTIFICATE REQUIRED
