Job Overview:
JOB SUMMARY:
- Responsible for all safety-related matters including conducting safety meetings with assigned personnel.
- Maintains and/or submits equipment history files, drawings and other records.
- Plans, lays out and coordinates work procedures and assigns work to others.
- Coordinates, directs and performs the installation and repair of all company equipment and facilities including but not limited to, mobile and stationary equipment, structures, pipelines, valves, pumps, related pump station equipment, conveyors, pulpers, dryers and related coffee factory equipment.
- Disassembles equipment to be repaired, checks for flaws, cracks, or worn parts. Makes necessary repairs, adjustments and modifications.
- Works with others in identifying problems. Plans, requests material, and schedules personnel to correct problems. Makes recommendations and suggestions.
- Designs and constructs special jigs and fixtures to facilitate work completion.
- As required, fabricates and constructs parts out of various metals and/or plastics.
- Files, chips and fits machinery and machine parts. Aligns shafting, pulleys, etc.
- Inspects all finished jobs and issues completion and release orders.
- Performs other work as directed by supervisor.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess requisite education attained through an apprenticeship program or other formal educational program specializing in the trade such as through ITT Tech, UTI, etc.
- Working knowledge of all machine shop fabrication equipment & techniques.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, written or oral specifications and instructions and be able to determine proper pre-heating and post-heating. .
- Physically and mentally able to perform all duties
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for duration while in this position.
- Must be able to work overtime on daily and/or weekly basis.
