Under limited supervision, this position will: - Prepare and distribute monthly JIB statements to partners in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor and reconcile JIB receivables, following up on outstanding partner balances and assist with collections.
- Ensure charges are in compliance with Joint Operating Agreements (JOA’s), industry standards (e.g., COPAS), and internal accounting policies.
- Maintain and update ownership setups and deck changes received from the Land Department. Prepare all reverse and rebook entries for change in ownership.
- Review and analyze accounts payable charges for proper coding and allocations. Prepare associated entries for corrections.
- Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to drilling, completion and producing overhead, first line supervision, material transfers and inventory. Capture and record cost allocations, overhead and insurance.
- Review and set up for payment all non-operated Joint Interest Billings, verifying Company’s working interest and booking netted revenue if applicable.
- Construct and distribute payout statements to non-consenting working interest owners.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations for JIB and General Ledger accounts.
- Monitor all AFE’s for the Company and close completed AFE projects in a timely manner.
- Participate in month-end close and financial reporting activities as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience, Licensure (minimum level required) |
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Field of Study: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- At least two (2) years of oil and gas industry experience.
- Verifiable experience with accounting systems such as Enertia, Excalibur or Bolo.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

- Able to work independently with minimal guidance and exercise good judgment when completing the tasks.
- Good attention to detail with ability to review calculations and entries for accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
