Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities

  1. Issue to and assist customers in finding and placing orders for and following up on parts, tools, etc.

  2. Accurately record transactions into the Asset Management system (parts issued and returned)

  3. Accurately receive and place parts back into inventory

  4. Verify receiving and pricing detail. Write and distribute work orders

  5. Prepare and ship items as needed

  6. Work with Supervisors, mechanics, and Storeroom Supervisor to update PM’s

  7. Communicate with outside vendors and other company storeroom clerks to arrange emergency parts issues and receipts

  8. Enter parts issued and completed work orders into computer

  9. Accurately audit inventory of parts including physically locating them in inventory

  10. Maintain an orderly and clean work area and ensure parts room security is upheld

  11. Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor and Plant Engineer

  12. Excellent attendance and teamwork are essential to this position

Minimum Qualifications

 Able to maintain good customer and peer relationship

 * Able to frequently climb stairs and ladders, stands, push, pull, bend, squat, and lift up to 50lbs

 * Meticulous work habit with an emphasis on accuracy and detail

 * Good verbal, written and basic math skills

 * Able to identify basic parts and equipment

 * Computer skills including the ability to enter data accurately and efficiently to learn to use the maintenance database to find needed information on parts and equipment

 * Willing to fill in for unexpected absences and vacation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food processing and equipment maintenance or maintenance

  • Previous experience reading blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals

  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Access experience

  • Pervious parts room experience and mechanical background
