Description

Forkift experience is required. The janitor provides a wide variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep facilities in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilizes safe work practices, and uses proper PPE in the performance of all tasks
• Cleans hallways, offices, food preparation or break areas, kitchen areas or equipment, work areas, common areas, restrooms, public areas, and/or other similar areas
• Restocks breakrooms, restrooms and janitorial areas
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums, etc. all types of floors
• Dusts both low and high areas
• Wipes down or cleans various surfaces
• Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks
• Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials, such as paper, plastic and aluminum  
• Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company
•  Attention to detail

Physical Demands and Abilities:

• While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the member is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and/or moving mechanical parts
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds, carrying and moving parts, materials, and product
• May be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
• A concern for quality and safety
• A willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to sustain a steady work pace and follow a schedule
• Ability to withstand extreme heat during summer season, at times reaching over 100 degrees

Minimum Educational Requirements:

• Some combination of education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
