Description

Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician
Reports to: Assembly Leadman
Job Type: Hour, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing assembly, service diagnostics, testing, and the rebuild of all equipment and products and completing all documentation.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Assemble equipment and products using hand tools such as mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and manual types.
Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineered drawings, specifications and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble, manufacture equipment, and calibrate our products.
Upkeep and maintain orderly work stations including tool box, work bench and surrounding areas.
Clock in and out of work orders on all jobs assigned throughout the day.
Build and produce quality products at an efficient work pace in order to meet production schedule.
Perform operational tests of products including air testing for leaks, hydrostatic testing and functionality test the performance of each system, pump or part.
Must have the ability to read measuring devices such as micrometers, scales, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, measuring tapes etc.
Safe use of forklift and carts to move work throughout the building.
Safe use of forklift and/or jib crane to handle heavy items during assembly.
Complete all documentation necessary for evaluation, testing, completion and final Inspections of equipment and products.
Disassemble, evaluate, repair and test returns as instructed.
Identify product defects or deficiencies and notify supervisor when such items are identified.
Wear required PPE and follow safety guidelines.
Follow all ISO procedures and guidance requirements
Participate with the organization of warehouse, inventory, production, testing, and assembly areas as required.
Upkeep and cleanliness of work areas.
Follow company safety & security guidelines
Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two years of related experience

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED
