Job Overview:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Managing projects and prioritizing for self, project teams, vendors, and contractors. 
  • Setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the progress of projects. 
  • Offering solutions to resolve basic project issues with limited guidance.  
  • Managing project activities against schedule/milestones, effectively.  
  • Developing reports for management review.
  • Relying on extensive judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
  • Communicating and collaborating well with other teams and customers.
  • Supporting the improvement of processes/procedures to drive project efficiency.
  • Supporting the Team/Customer by occasionally working after hours and responding to emergency service calls.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Management position supporting Federal/State/Local government customers.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing multiple subcontractors.
  • 5+ years of supporting technologies associated with Intelligent Transportation Systems and/or Communication Tower Maintenance. 
  • Basic knowledge of two-way radio/cellular infrastructure communications products, services, low voltage, generator, and HVAC maintenance.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and autonomously manage multiple projects or portions of projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and developing reports for management review. 
  • CAPM (Certified Associate Project Manager) certification is required.
  • In lieu of CAPM, 7-10 years of experience in Project Management.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) highly desired or working towards obtaining PMP within 1 year.


YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 15 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs across the State of Maryland that may require overnight stays.

5+ years of experience managing direct reports
