We are currently recruiting an IT Project Engineer to join our  team, on-site at our Sacramento, CA branch. The IT Project Engineer is responsible for leading the delivery of internal IT infrastructure and cloud projects across the organization.This position plays a key role in driving Microsoft cloud platform adoption, endpoint management, and connectivity enhancements. Requires occasional travel to branch locations and non-standard work hours, as needed by the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute internal IT projects, including Microsoft 365 rollouts, Azure implementations, system upgrades, and infrastructure modernization.
• Manage and optimize Azure environments (VM’s networking, Azure AD, conditional access, storage, backups).
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Defender, and compliance/security settings.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint compliance.
• Maintain secure and scalable network configurations, including VLAN’s, IPv6 addressing, and WAN connectivity between locations.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and implementation strategies.
• Create technical documentation, change logs, and post-project summaries for handoff and compliance.
• Apply best practices in cloud security, device provisioning, and service availability.
• Provide internal technical leadership and guidance across infrastructure domains during project implementation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education &Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination related education and experience.
• At least 5 years proven experience in IT infrastructure, with strong emphasis on Azure and Microsoft 365 project execution.

Skills:

Industry Skills: Strong documentation and project planning skills. Computer Skills: Strong understanding of Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure AD, identity and access management, and virtual networking. Deep experience administering Microsoft 365 and related services in a secure, enterprise environment. Hands-on experience with Intune for endpoint deployment, compliance, and application management. Practical knowledge of VLAN configuration, IPv6, and WAN technologies.

Certificates & Licenses:Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate,Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, PMP.
