The Opportunity:

 

The IT Infastruc Manager is responsible for the management, coordination, and oversight of MeriCal's infrastructure environment, including network, cloud, server, endpoint, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and business continuity services.

This position serves as the primary liaison between MeriCal and its third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP), ensuring infrastructure services are delivered in accordance with business requirements, service level expectations, and organizational priorities.

The IT Infrastructure Manager will coordinate infrastructure-related projects and activities, support technology procurement efforts, oversee vendor relationships, and assist in the planning and scheduling of network, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business continuity initiatives. The role works closely with business leaders, external technology providers, and MeriCal's third-party procurement team to ensure technology investments support operational objectives and future growth.


What You’ll Do:

Environment Overview  

  • Approximately 300 users across multiple platforms.
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, and corporate operations.
  • Hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure environment.
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem.
  • Third-party Managed Service Provider support model.
  • Regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Enterprise application supporting manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customer service, and finance functions.

Infrastructure Operations & Service Delivery 

  • Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations supporting business and manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and service quality.
  • Coordinate resolution of infrastructure-related incidents, outages, and escalations.
  • Ensure infrastructure services support business continuity and operational objectives.
  • Review service metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Maintain awareness of infrastructure risks and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Managed Service Provider Oversight 

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for MeriCal's Managed Service Provider.
  • Conduct regular operational and service review meetings.
  • Monitor service delivery performance and compliance with service level agreements.
  • Coordinate infrastructure support activities provided by external technical resources.
  • Escalate and manage vendor performance issues when necessary.
  • Evaluate recommendations from service providers and ensure alignment with company objectives, standards, and budget requirements.

Infrastructure Project Planning & Coordination 

  • Coordinate infrastructure projects and technical initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling infrastructure maintenance activities and technology implementations. 
  • Support initiatives including:
    • Network upgrades and enhancements
    • Cloud and infrastructure modernization projects
    • Server and storage improvements
    • Telecommunications upgrades
    • Cybersecurity initiatives
    • End-user technology deployments
    • Disaster recover and business continuity activities
  • Coordinate stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources to ensure successful project execution.
  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.

Vendor & Procurement Management 

  • Partner with MeriCal's third-party procurement team on infrastructure-related sourcing and purchasing activities.
  • Support hardware, software, telecommunications, and service procurement efforts.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, contract renewals, and budgeting discussions.
  • Assist with technology investment planning and vendor management activities.
  • Maintain productive relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers.

Cybersecurity & Business Continuity 

  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to support infrastructure security initiatives.
  • Assist with cybersecurity remediation activities, audits, assessments, and compliance efforts.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
  • Participate in risk mitigation activities designed to strengthen infrastructure reliability and security.
  • Ensure infrastructure standards align with organizational security policies and best practices.

Manufacturing & Operational Technology Support 

  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Facilities teams to support infrastructure requirements.
  • Ensure networks and infrastructure services effectively support manufacturing and warehouse operations.
  • Assist in planning infrastructure requirements associated with facility projects, equipment integrations, and operational technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities to minimize disruption to production environments during maintenance and project execution.

Documentation & Governance 

  • Coordinate activities to minimize disruption to production environments during maintenance and project execution.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, inventories, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Support development and maintenance of infrastructure policies and governance environments.
  • Participate in long-term infrastructure planning and roadmap discussions.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five years of experience managing or supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience overseeing Managed Services Providers (MSPs) or outsourced technology support organizations.
  • Experience working with external technology vendors and procurement partners.
  • Experience supporting multi-site business environments.
  • Manufacturing, distribution, life sciences, food, supplement, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure operations and service delivery models.
  • Knowledge of network, server, cloud, telecommunications, and endpoint technologies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating third-party service providers.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and competing business requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred:

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
