General Summary

This role provides day‑to‑day IT support by responding to and resolving employee technology requests related to computers, networks, and cloud‑based systems. The position supports users across offices, plants, satellite locations, and job sites while maintaining IT equipment, improving processes, and coordinating with Corporate IT to ensure reliable technology and efficient business operations.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Respond to and manage incoming IT Service Desk requests to ensure employee technology issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner

  • Diagnose and resolve local network and communication issues to maintain operational readiness and minimize disruptions to business operations

  • Maintain and support local VoIP phone systems and related equipment to ensure reliable communication across the business unit

  • Support and maintain local Active Directory objects, network applications, servers, and services to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable IT operations aligned with company policies

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of business unit IT documentation to enable consistent standards and operating procedures.

  • Assist in testing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans to reduce downtime and support rapid recovery in the event of system outages or emergencies

  • Coordinate the acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment to ensure compliance with corporate standards, best practices, and management direction

  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory, software licensing, and asset rotation records to support compliance, cost control, and lifecycle management

  • Support the design, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure for acquisitions, large projects, and joint ventures to ensure seamless integration and adherence to corporate standards

  • Provide ongoing support for business applications to ensure systems operate efficiently and in compliance with best practices and corporate requirements

  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC hardware and software issues to minimize downtime, meet service level expectations, and support employee productivity

  • Partner with business unit leadership to identify current and future IT needs to support enterprise initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and alignment with company goals

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the IT Manager and local business leadership to support effective issue resolution, priority setting, and service delivery

Education

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of training, experience and certifications

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in network and PC support for a multi-site business environment

  • Familiarity with cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways

  • Addresses problems of diverse scope that require analysis and evaluation of identifiable factors; exercises discretion in selecting methods, techniques, and solutions

  • Ability to performs day-to-day work with little to no supervision and receives minimal instruction on new or complex assignments

  • Advanced knowledge of relevant Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID

  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Role-Based Certification Single-Exam, and CompTIA Network+ (beneficial, but not required)

  • Substantial working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Products

  • Working knowledge of server hardware, relevant workstations technologies and manufacturers, as well as various storage products

  • Working knowledge of Internetworking technologies such as routers, switches, access points and bridge products by manufacturers like Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.

  • Working knowledge of Unified Communications technologies

  • Ability to convey technical concepts and ideas to non-technical personnel

  • Ability to apply management’s directives into coordinated plans that are applied, in a timely manner, toward completing assigned goals and tasks

  • Excellent organizational, customer service, and verbal/written communication skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.   • Commitment to conduct Business unit IT operations in a manner consistent with Corporate IT policies, procedures and standards

  • Demonstrate a high degree of patience with an ability to work with all levels of management and staff

  • Ability to prioritize workload, especially under pressure

  • Travel to plants, satellite offices and job sites may be frequent with some extended daily and weekend hours required

Base Salary Range:

$54,700.00 - $82,050.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors. ​
