Job Description
You will be the Production IPT Lead – IRST for the Sensors & Global Sustainment team. Our group drives the design, development, and fielding of cutting edge infrared search and track systems, delivering reliable, high performance hardware to the warfighter.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production IPT Lead you will own end to end execution of the IRST program’s infrared receiver (IRR) line, from concept through sustained production. You’ll steer a cross functional team, serve as the technical conscience of the effort, and partner with customers, suppliers, and internal design groups to keep cost, schedule, and performance on target.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead program execution: develop ROMs, respond to new business opportunities, and manage inter program coordination for legacy IRST assets (Legion Pod, Legion ES, Navy Blk II).
• Direct recruitment, training, performance assessments, and career development for the IRR engineering crew.
• Own cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance for IRR contracts in both development and production phases.
• Enforce engineering processes, ensure customer focused delivery, and act as the chief technical authority for the IRR line.
• Manage supplier relationships, oversee flight hardware fabrication, integration, and testing of electro optical subsystems, especially precision LOS pointing and high stability gimbal assemblies.
• Champion continuous improvement, drive engineering competency growth, and represent the team in senior level reviews and customer briefings.
