Whelan Machine & Tool, an Ajax Defense company, is a precision machining and fabrication shop in Louisville supporting aerospace and defense customers. We're hiring an Inventory / Warehouse Manager to own inventory control, the warehouse, shipping & receiving, and plant facilities and safety.

What you'll do:

• Lead the shipping & receiving and facilities/safety team.
• Own ERP inventory accuracy: cycle counts, physical inventory, and fixing discrepancies.
• Manage stock locations, labeling, and material traceability (heat/lot numbers and certs).
• Oversee receiving, put-away, kitting, material issue, packaging, and shipping to hit delivery dates.
• Apply lean/5S to keep the warehouse and floor organized and efficient.
• Run warehouse safety, including forklift training, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance.

What you bring:

• 5+ years in inventory, warehouse, or materials management in manufacturing, with 2+ years leading a team.
• Strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills.
• Shipping and receiving know-how.
• Forklift certified, or able to get certified.
• U.S. Person under ITAR (required).
• Preferred: Microsoft Dynamics NAV, APICS CPIM, lean/5S, and aerospace/defense experience.
