We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Supervisor I to join the GA-ASI Systems Integration Lab (SIL) team in Poway, CA, in a role supporting SIL environments for multiple product lines.
Under limited supervision with minimal review, this materials leadership position within the SIL team requires leading with hands-on involvement in equipment movement between labs and asset tracking as items enter the labs and move from lab to lab. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams, especially other SIL team members supporting avionics systems, payloads, sensors, ground control stations, test equipment and tools, equipment calibration, and ground support equipment.
The ideal candidate will champion a culture of teamwork, communication, mentoring, continuous improvement, process flow, and interdepartmental synchronization to ensure high performance and reliability in a regulated aerospace environment. The candidate will collaborate with other SIL team members on both company-owned and customer-owned assets and contribute to the development and support of systems quality testing, operating methods, and processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Leads and actively participates in the daily operations of inventory management within the SIL team by helping prioritize work activities, including reviewing transfers of equipment and/or materials, stock, shortages, and expedites to ensure project and engineering requirements are met.
- Assists in implementing and monitoring standard procedures; participates in the development, recommendation, and maintenance of tools, policies, and procedures to meet project and engineering requirements.
- May develop and assist in implementing inventory control processes to ensure project and engineering requirements are met.
- Assists in the installation and implementation of methods used to support inventory management within the SILs.
- Identifies issues and conflicts in supply and demand and develops and recommends solutions to management.
- Assigns tasks, reviews work, and provides direction to staff while ensuring processes are completed within established timelines.
- May develop and present reports to management and other functional areas as needed for inventory monitoring and control.
- May represent the SIL team as the primary contact with internal and external representatives; makes internal presentations and provides support as needed.
- Participates in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of human resources to ensure the availability of required talent.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field along with six or more years of related experience in inventory planning and control.. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Extensive understanding of inventory control standards, methods, practices, concepts, and principles.
- Thorough, detailed knowledge of computer-based manufacturing systems and MRP.

- Ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data, and develop solutions to complex matters of diverse scope and nature.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain the flow of work within the unit.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interface with all levels of internal employees and external customers and to accurately document and report information.

- Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
