Inventory Specialist (Manufacturing) – Cranston, RI

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our fast-paced manufacturing team in Cranston, RI. This role is critical to ensuring accurate inventory management, raw material availability, and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, ERP systems, and manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records by verifying raw materials and updating ERP systems
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure materials meet production and customer demand
• Track inventory movement through production, quality, and warehouse processes
• Partner with purchasing teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials
• Perform cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and shelf-life requirements
• Stage and prepare materials for production/batch manufacturing
• Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and processes

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (chemical manufacturing preferred)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (inventory or warehouse modules)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
