Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Reports to: Inventory Manager
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Saturdays as needed
Pay Scale: $23.00/hour
Position Summary:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the receiving of parts, equipment, and materials to the warehouse inventory, parts cage, or job P.O. as assigned. Additionally, the Inventory Specialist will perform restocks for all division warehouses/vehicles.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive parts from vendors and apply to job P.O.s as assigned.
- Communicate with division coordinators as parts are received and update notes on jobs at warehouse location
- Notify coordinators of issues with orders or partially received items
- Maintain open, positive, supportive communication with technicians and office staff
- Perform min/max restocks on service trucks weekly, for all divisions (Mondays and Thursdays)
- Perform inventory physical counts on trucks of all divisions and both warehouses (McHenry and Rockford)
- Communicate with warehouse manager on timely basis of daily issues that arise
- Check in/check out and inspect all company-owner power tools that technicians use
- If any issues arise with broken or outdated tools, notify warehouse manager so that a resolution can be implemented
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts cage, work-stations, and areas of warehouse
- Perform spot checks on parts cage inventory items
- Communicate any and all inventory variances of off quantity in cage when processing transfers or requisitions
- Complete and process all transfer sheets and P.O.s immediately to ensure shop stock entering and leaving shop is live and updated real time
- Delivery of necessary parts/equipment to technicians in the field, as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of inventory control experience preferred, but training provided
- Strong computer skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft and inventory software
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Detail oriented
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Familiarity with HVAC, electric, and Pluming trades a plus
