Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To assure the accuracy, organization, record keeping of all inventory transactions such as material request, WIP completions, and materials issuing logs. To issue all appropriate materials to its intended manufacturing order and process any returns to stock from that order as well. Work to achieve and maintain Inventory accuracy level of 98 % at all locations. To assist management in the creation, implementation and execution of procedures and process controls for all inventory transactions. Being the lead and participating in cycle counting, when necessary, resolution of discrepancies, and analyzing the outcome and being able to generate a report to explain results.  Being able to work in all Amy’s warehouse facilities in Medford, understanding the different building functions and being capable of representation of Inventory Manager when asked.

  • Review and ensure the accuracy of ALL transactions (i.e. issuing materials, requisitions, returns to stock, purchase order, distribution orders, and manufacturing orders).
  • Report all transactions in Oracle against Manufacturing Orders for materials required, request, and return to stocks.
  • Reconcile written documentation versus system information.
  • Report on all transactions in Oracle against Internal Sales (ISOs) or Org transfers for fulfillment of materials requirements.
  • Process all appropriate transactions for: Disposals, Return to Vendor, Purchase Orders receipts and corrections in a timely and accurate manner.  
  • Track material movement sheets when necessary.
  • Report daily on inventory accuracy or discrepancies to Cycle Counter / or Supervisor.
  • Assist in preparation for and participate in inventory cycle counts as required.
  • Help fellow employees to understand and follow all procedures for inventory transactions throughout all facilities.
  • During peak season or based on company needs overtime is required (possible weekends). Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The possibility exists that the position may require supervision of administrative staff or Inventory Coordinator II to ensure timely, accurate and efficient execution of all duties. Assist the Supervisor in training, evaluation, and act as the lead during supervisor’s absence.

      EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Or six months to a year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS

  • Must have own vehicle.
  • Computer knowledge of (Oracle or other EBS systems): Training and In-house Oracle Certification will be expected.
  • Prior experience in Inventory Control is preferred.
  • This position requires attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to convey discrepancies or errors to co-employees.

 

      LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Must be able to speak and read English sufficient to communicate and understand basic concepts and directions.
  • Fluent English/Spanish written/verbal skills are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.

 

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

      REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for a prolonged amount of time in front of a computer screen.  The employee frequently is required to walk. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and disruptive, must have good focus and deal with a fast-paced environment.  Some duties would include working in a chilled environment which may include either a refrigerator and / or freezer. Open to work a flexible schedule (Amy’s operates 24 hours a day).

 

TRAVEL

 

Maybe required to travel up to 10% of working time to support local offsite warehouse locations.
