Overview

Responsible to ensure the accurate data entry of all inventory transactions, use knowledge of inventory practices to maintain accurate information on inventory levels.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies.
  • Data entry of work orders and receipts.
  • Schedule, direct and conduct inventory cycle counts.
  • Work with manufacturing, purchasing, and accounting to reconcile inventory cycle count results.
  • Identify sources of cycle count variances and work with appropriate departments to correct.
  • Provide training to employees on inventory system procedures.
  • Identify areas for improvement of material flow through the factory.
  • Participate on or lead teams working on inventory related issues.
  • Assist with inventory control practices to ensure company defined procedures are followed.
  • Identify and reconcile inventory adjustments resulting from cycle counts that exceed established parameters.
  • May involve travel to other facilities to conduct these activities.
  • Must know the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of inventory and cycle count procedures
  • Skilled in data entry, and use of bar code reader and calculator
  • Good basic math skills
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Ability to conduct data entry work
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Willingness to take additional course work in inventory control such as APICS
  • Knowledge of JDE One World preferred
  • 5+ years in an inventory control position, responsible for the accurate tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished product
