Job Description: 

The Inventory Control Supervisor will conduct the successful movement of incoming materials through the facility; support manufacturing and engineering by supplying materials in a timely manner; and assist with all Shipments MIL-Spec and otherwise. Packaging of the Main Test stands will be one main Focus. From step one through loading this onto a truck to leave the facility. Pics of packaging and must be particular on all packaging. Also assist with scheduling the pick ups of shipments. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct the delivery of material to and from the appropriate/proper physical location(s) in a timely manner
  • Control the proper storage and tracking of customer furnished items (UUT’s)
  • Assist with all incoming and outgoing shipments of materials to critical suppliers
  • Control all inventory and excess material storage
  • Conduct the min/max inventory of consumable items
  • Oversee all company assets
  • Comply with the company’s calibrated instrument standards
  • Assist with MIL-SPEC packaging of shipments to government customers
  • Assist with maintaining inventory of packaging materials
  • Ensure stock room areas are organized and clean at all times
  • Support the packaging and crating of equipment and material to be shipped to our customers and vendors
  • Initiate and support the development of process improvements
  • Operate and perform all barcode scanning and data entry into the ERP related function for inventory tracking
  • Stack skids or pallets in designated areas, clean-up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping in proper conditions
  • Manage and assist Truck Driver (loading and unloading)
  • Carry-out the pickup and deliveries using company vehicle
  • Build, construct, and assemble industrial crates for shipping small parts and finished product
  • Assist other departments and perform other jobs to meet customer and mission objectives
  • Obtain a fork truck license to move heavy parts, or load/unload trucks
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of related work experience
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to read, write, and understand English is a must
  • Computer experience, programs, and data entry is essential
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and US Citizenship/Green card required
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • AS1920 training preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Train, coach, inventory, staff; evaluate performance
  • Stock Control: Oversee cycle counts, physical audits, and product reconciliation
  • Data Management: Track Movements made it the EPR System (Epicor) 
  • Operations: Enforce safety and workflow standards; partner with managers to fix discrepancies
  • Fork lift operations (Loading and unloading trucks) 
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels and customer purchase trends to ensure that goals are met and inventory is always available
  • Develop, implement, and update inventory control procedures and policies to minimize losses and reduce costs.
  • Accurately record and document inventory data
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the inventory staff
  • Assist in the ordering and replenishment of inventory items
  • Review inventory records and transactions for accuracy
  • Track inventory levels and report on any changes or trends
  • Prepare and submit reports to management
  • Previous experience as an Inventory Supervisor or related position
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory management principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational, management, and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access
  • Develop and implement procedures for inventory management, tracking, and control
  • Monitor and track inventory levels and ensure accurate records
  • Supervise the receiving and stocking of inventory items
  • Ensure all inventory is properly labeled and stored
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure they meet customer demand
  • Respond to inquiries regarding inventory availability and location
  • Maintain a safe and secure inventory area
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels and usage
  • Analyze inventory data and recommend improvements
