Position Summary:
The Inventory Management Specialist II manages inventory processes with greater independence, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely shipping/receiving operations. This role also assists in process improvements and troubleshooting discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels; initiate replenishment as needed
- Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate variances
- Oversee receiving processes, including documentation and system updates
- Coordinate and execute shipping schedules, including carrier selection
- Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and compliance with shipping regulations
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and inefficiencies
- Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, returns, and stock levels
- Train and support entry-level staff (Level I)
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)
- 2–5 years of inventory or warehouse experience
- Experience with inventory/ERP systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
