Position Summary


This is an important function aligned with the company’s goal of keeping inventory accuracy. Assist in overseeing inventory controls by receiving blanks and finished goods, transferring goods in and adjusting samples to ensure we meet the clients/customer’s demands. This position will also assist in ensuring POD personnel follow correct processes as well as receiving, transferring, and adjusting inventory. 

  

Essential Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy while using an ERP system.
  • Reconciliation of inventory by conducting research of system documents and scheduling cycle counts.  
  • Coordinates with each warehouse/contractor on item arriving, establish themselves as contact for IC related questions and assist with documents to complete receiving.  
  • Communicate with production on discrepancies from suppliers, contractors, and obtain approvals to receive.
  • Compare packing to the PO’s and to the warehouse final counts ensuring product item number match in the system.
  • Receives its products from a supplier, these products must be inspected to ensure they are safe for distribution. 
  • Review defective products or shipment overages and schedule returns to suppliers as needed.
  • Review scheduling reports to monitor shipments and process shipping documents timely.
  • Participate in physical inventory preparations and on site counting when scheduling as needed.
  • Have knowledge of invoicing to aide team in closing the month.
  • Flexibility in accepting new duties and aiding co-workers is expected.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and correct discrepancy reports daily to maintain inventory.
  • Perform audits on reported OOS and update log as needed.
  • Analyze and reconcile duplicate entries reported the previous day.
  • Analyze and adjust inventory based on damage reports from the previous day.
  • Review and analyze transfer transactions from location 102 to 101 and 100.
  • Review and analyze assigned bins to identify any missing transactions or required adjustments
  • Flexibility in accepting new duties and aiding co-workers is expected.
  • Responsible for sending out daily end of shift report to ensure the following shift is aware of any pending task or project.  

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • At least 2 years of receiving experience in Inventory Control 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook
  • Knowledge of warehouse flow & inventory reconciliation practices
  • Detail orientated and kept accurate records
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to multitask and communicate clearly with various types of personnel
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
  • Must have active or previous forklift certification, will require using forklifts

 

Working conditions

 

Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with an open floor plan. May occasionally work in indoor environments that do not have heat or air conditioning, such as a warehouse, or outdoors. This job operates in a professional office environment with a business casual dress code. Employees are required to wear proper safety attire when working in the warehouse, such as closed toed shoes. This role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
