Job Overview:

 

A. PURPOSE

In this role, the Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk will provide the Warehouse Department support by providing, staging materials on time and in an orderly manner for faster, more efficient operation y accurate inventories for purchasing department.

B. DUTIES

Main Responsibilities Include but are not limited to the following:

1. Counts store inventory for official store records.

2. Maintains logs of all products and supplies.

3. Checks actual store inventory against computerized records.

4. Reports any discrepancies in inventory records to store manager.

5. Receives deliveries.

6. Assists in unloading inventory from delivery truck.

7. Organizes inventory in stock room.

8. Restocks merchandise on sales floor as necessary.

9. Files all delivery and inventory receipts.

10. Uses inventory software to keep track of orders, returns, and supply.

11. Writes up inventory reports detailing any overstock or missing items.

12. Presents inventory reports to Manager/ Supervisor.

13. Ensures that stock room is clean and well organized.

14. Moves and restructures organization of stockroom to make space for new inventory.

15. Assists in cleaning and organizing the store upon closing.

16. Pulls any defective or expired merchandise for return.

17. Packs up items for return and creates shipping labels.

18. Submits orders for replenishment of inventory.

19. Retrieves products from stock room for customers.

20. Reviews shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.

21. Assists customers on the sales floor in locating items.

22. Assists store or inventory manager in devising new ways to reduce shrink and maintain inventory control.

1. Demonstrates strong organizational skills.

3. Capability of using computer inventory software.

4. Exhibits ability to read and interpret inventory reports, sales reports, and packing slips.

5. Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

7. Manages time efficiently.

8. Possesses broad knowledge of the range of store products and services.

9. Communicates clearly and effectively.

10. Demonstrates professional and polite demeanor with customers.

C. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1. High School (College degree is a plus)

2. Computer skills and knowledge in inventory software and programs are a must

3. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience on the field (Food Industry is a plus)
