Job Overview:

Celltron is seeking motivated current college students pursuing an engineering-related degree to join our Engineering Internship Program.

Internships are available part-time during the school year and during the summer, allowing students to gain meaningful experience while continuing their education.

Internship Program

We offer engineering internship opportunities throughout the school year and summer:

  • Part-Time Program: Designed for students who are actively attending college and want to gain engineering and manufacturing experience while completing their degree. Hours are flexible and can be built around the student's class schedule.
  • Summer Program: Allows students to work a more consistent schedule during the summer, providing greater exposure to Celltron's production processes, engineering operations, and active projects.

The program is designed to give students practical experience that complements their coursework while helping them develop an understanding of how engineering supports a manufacturing organization.

What to Expect

Engineering interns will begin by gaining hands-on exposure to Celltron's production operations. During this time, interns will learn how our cable and wire harness assemblies are built, become familiar with manufacturing processes, work instructions, tooling, and quality requirements, and develop an understanding of the day-to-day needs of our production teams.

This production experience provides interns with a foundation for understanding how engineering decisions, drawings, processes, and documentation directly impact manufacturing.

After developing this foundation, interns will transition into the Engineering division and be paired with an experienced engineer or engineering team. Placement may be based on the student's field of study, technical interests, experience, and current business needs.

Working alongside experienced engineers, interns will gain exposure to real engineering projects and learn how customer drawings and specifications are transformed into production-ready processes. Interns may assist with developing assembly processes, creating manufacturing instructions, designing form boards, interpreting technical drawings, and producing documentation using CAD and other engineering tools.

As interns develop their skills and knowledge, they may be given additional responsibilities and opportunities to contribute directly to projects supporting Celltron's production teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced engineers to learn Celltron's engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Gain hands-on knowledge of cable and wire harness production
  • Assist with fabrication oversight, coordination, and technical support for production teams
  • Interpret customer drawings, specifications, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Assist with translating customer requirements into production-ready manufacturing instructions
  • Develop and maintain assembly processes and supporting documentation
  • Assist with designing cable and wire harness layouts and supporting CAD drawings
  • Design and create form boards using CAD software
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams on active projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • Interest in manufacturing, aerospace, electrical systems, or cable and wire harness assembly
  • Experience with electronics, mechanical assembly, or technical writing is preferred
  • AutoCAD experience is preferred
  • Experience with 3D modeling software is preferred
  • Willingness to learn in both production and engineering environments

Schedule

Internship schedules are designed to accommodate students' academic responsibilities.

During the school year, interns may work part-time around their class schedules. Students participating during the summer may have the opportunity to work a more consistent schedule based on availability and business needs.

Benefits

Eligibility for benefits may vary based on internship status, scheduled hours, and applicable plan requirements.
