Job Description

Micron Systems Integration Group (SIG) provides equipment, PCB-level products, and engineering services that are strategic to Micron. This includes wafer probe test systems, packaged device test systems including burn-in and at-speed as well as associated load/DUT cards.

The internship is for the SIG Electrical Design engineering group that is responsible for all PCB-level design and a contributor to system-level design for SIG products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive to completion assigned projects

  • Gather data and requirements to solve engineering problems

  • Design PCB level circuits

  • Debug and test PCB circuitry

  • Design and execute experiments to find root cause

  • Author reports on work performed and present findings to the team

  • Write simple software scripts to exercise hardware in the lab

  • Operate lab equipment to perform circuit testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated to solve engineering problems

  • Knowledge of electrical circuit theory and design techniques

  • Knowledge of SPICE simulations

  • Experience with lab instruments including DMM, SMU, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads

  • Familiar with Python script writing

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with schematic entry tools

  • Experience with spreadsheets

  • Experience with statistical process control

  • Familiar with SQL database queries

Education

Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering. You must graduate no earlier than September of 2024.
