Job Overview:

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking an Intern, Continuous Improvement.  This is a student or a recent graduate undergoing on-the-job supervised training in preparation for a desired career.  The individual performs various tasks that provide support to different company functional areas.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Working with Operation to observe and record various processes within the ACLA’s manufacturing line
  • Using Microsoft Office software to compile data and create report-outs
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required: preferred 20 hours per week during quarter/semester, full-time during summer
  • Potential hands-on fabrication of aerospace hardware using machining equipment, tools, tooling, and assembly fixtures


 Job Specifications:
 
Education:  
A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of schooling pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or structural engineering
Years Experience:  0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
 Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize changing situations
  • Experience or background with composite materials is a plus
  • General understanding of a manufacturing environment
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
