The Boeing CompanyBoeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. Successful candidates will support the development and verification of test methods working on the MQ-25 Test Program.
Extended travel to the St. Louis area and Lakehurst, NJ on Domestic Temporary Assignment will be required.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced and Lead Level Instrumentation Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the development and verification of test methods
Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
Writes Flight Prep Sheets and Authorization for work to configure instrumentation
Directs pre-test checkouts to ensure the required instrumentation is installed, configured, and operating properly
Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
Uses analytical tools to verify the design
Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements
Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements
Presents test results internally
Archives data and reports
Trains others
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience with instrumentation and/or data acquisition systems
3+ years of experience and/or coursework with analog/digital signal processing
3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
3+ years of experience with electronics trouble shooting, repair and schematics
Willing to travel domestically as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 4: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Experience troubleshooting data system / sensor anomalies
Experience in the production of Electrical Schematics
Experience with Instrumentation Data Systems/Digital Signal Processing

Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level 3): $111,350 – $150,650
Summary Pay Range for Lead level (Level 4): $135,150 – $182,850
