We're looking for an I&C Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. You’ll be accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
You will be part of a highly collaborative and agile team, delivering cutting edge solutions to world leading clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced engineers who will contribute specialist knowledge and leadership including:

  • Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
  • Ensure the expectations of the project deliverables are met for your discipline, ensuring the quality expectations, schedules and budgets
  • Assist in project proposals by ascertaining scope, determining the required design budgets and when necessary, serve as an expert during proposal presentations
  • Work with others as required to incorporate code and safety requirements into designs
  • Perform I&C design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
  • Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.
  • Develops designer effort-hour estimates for I&C discipline.
  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Size and specify instruments and produce datasheets
  • Develop control system architecture, focusing on network protocols such as Ethernet and BACNet. Knowledge or the ability to learn other proprietary networks as required.
  • Panel design for control systems
  • Develop standard installation details.
  • Update P&ID’s with controls content.
  • Produce control system philosophy with input from other disciplines as required.
  • Produce instrument lists and cable schedules
  • Review vendor submittals im comparision to project and client standards
  • Carry out site surveys and design verification

The position can be performed from virtually any location in the United States #EVjobs

  • Experience leading discipline design teams
  • Perform tier reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy, conformance to codes, specifications, design criteria and conformance to good engineering practices
  • Progressive experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer
  • Facility and/ or Industrial design experience including pharmaceutical/consumer/chemical manufacturing, semiconductor facilities, data center, or similar
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
  • Strong relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector.
  • Engineering/ design experience in the I&C systems
  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
  • Experience with MCC and VFD control specification and selection.
  • Some experience with PLC code/SCADA preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity  with wiring regulations (NEC, etc.)
  • Possess working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, Bluebeam or similar specification development software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Electrical Vehicle market is helpful but not required
  • PE Registration helpful but not required
  • Established Professional network within the EV market
