Responsibilities
Review manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs to determine testing and maintenance procedures
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control systems
Diagnose faults in control valves, sensors, transmitters, PLCs, DCS systems, and final control elements
Remove and replace defective instrumentation components
Calibrate instruments and control devices to manufacturer specifications
Complete preventive maintenance activities and documentation
Install instrumentation and control devices on new and existing equipment
Work closely with Operations and Engineering to resolve process issues
Maintain maintenance records within CMMS systems
Support plant reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Strong knowledge of instrumentation used to measure and control flow, pressure, temperature, level, and chemical composition
Experience with pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial control systems
Understanding of chemical plant or industrial manufacturing environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Experience maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports
Industrial instrumentation and controls experience in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment
Experience troubleshooting pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems
DCS (Distributed Control System) experience
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs
Calibration and repair experience with process instrumentation
