Position Overview
As a** install/Maintenance tech**, you will use your technical skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment (MHE) and various supporting systems throughout the building.
This position provides opportunities to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while developing technical skills and mentoring junior technicians.
Travel Requirement:At least 80% travel, often for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
Complete preventative maintenance routines and maintain proper documentation.
Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
Maintain positive working relationships across Operations.
Move equipment, parts, and tools weighing up to 49 pounds.
Stand and walk for shifts lasting up to 8-9 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to perform:
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting parts and tools weighing an average of 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 49 pounds.
Eye/hand and foot coordination.
Manual dexterity, including:
- Picking
- Pinching
- Holding
- Grasping
- Foot-pedal operation
Repetitive wrist flexion and rotation.
Working Conditions
Working conditions may include:
