- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced according to appropriate inspection schedules.
- Measure products, calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other inspection equipment as needed to obtain accurate measurements.
- Accept or reject finished items according to procedures and work instructions.
- Move all products that fail to meet specifications to Undetermined status according to work instructions
- When possible, discuss inspection results with those responsible to determine root-cause, procedure and work instruction revision needs, and corrective action.
- Report inspection and test data using defined procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
- Verify accuracy of measuring tools prior to usage.
