Inside Sales Specialist

Job Summary:  

Responsible for inside sales activities related to existing and new accounts.  Management of sales activities with customers within the MP Sales and Business Development group for new and existing customers by performing sales and marketing tasks while managing key customer relationships and improving customer satisfaction.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee fulfillment of customer order from receipt of order to delivery.
  • Review of quotes, proposals, purchase orders, and terms and conditions for accuracy
  • Process and update as necessary customer Purchase Orders with order entry into ERP system, including verification of lead times with Operations
  • Generate Sales Order Acknowledgements and manage communication with customers as appropriate
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment between customers, Operations, Finance, Shipping and Logistics, and 3rd party vendors
  • Communicate customer requests and other general requirements to internal departments as necessary
  • Maintain/update customer database and prospects
  • Ensure the compliance and quality control of the Quoting Process per SOP 18
  • Support reporting of sales analytics (monthly/quarterly/yearly) by customer, segments, regions, etc.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to provide excellent customer service and communication
  • Support finance with invoicing and other financial transaction related to equipment orders or leases 
  • Manage Titling and licensing trailers, registrations as Nebraska dealership
  • Prepare legal documents of each vehicle sale bound by Nebraska’s dealership statutes
  • Communicate documentation requirements with customer to ensure efficient processing of orders
  • Gather required signatures, notary approvals, documents, etc. to present to regulatory agencies and customers in accordance with state requirements.  Punctuality and clean hand writing are a must.
  • Logistics Coordinating
  • Coordinate upcoming shipments with customers and carriers and internal departments (shipping operations, and quality) as needed
  • Manage Mobile Pipeline Lease fleet management
  • Prepare lease agreements and other lease related documents
  • Manage inspections of equipment before delivery to and return from customers
  • Manage repair, maintenance, and recertification of lease fleet as required
  • Coordinate delivery and returns of equipment
  • Maintain equipment records and pertinent documentation 


Supervisor Responsibilities: 

  • The job has no supervisory responsibilities at this time. 

Education, Certifications & Qualifications:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in sales and marketing, business administration, engineering, or procurement.  
  • Experience with the Department of Transportation, and DMV.


  • A minimum of 3 years of sales, operations, project management procurement, or business administration
  • Experience working in enterprise level ERP systems; IFS preferred
  • General knowledge of logistics and shipping of containers, vehicles, and other large freight
  • Experience dealing with international customers, export compliance and international shipping desirable
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9000 certification (or similar) preferred 
  • Experience with financial instruments such as letters of credit, credit applications, etc desirable
  • Experience with asset management and documentation, including certificates of origin, titles, 
  • The ability to understand technical products and related sales and marketing strategies of such products 
  • A general knowledge of composite products, processes, and materials preferred
  • Experience working in an industry related to the energy sector and/or alternative fuels preferred.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solutions preferred


  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours or more per day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs on a limited basis, and on an infrequent basis ability to lift up to 50 lbs in trade show equipment
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including rain, wind, blizzards, heat, etc. when necessary
