Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Inside Sales Supervisor, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing order entries, and handling customer issues. This position works closely with operations, engineering, project management, and sales to collaborate, provide, and receive feedback as the voice of the customer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Alignment with Key Account Managers
  • Enter Requests for Quote (RFQs) and follow up on quotations
  • Enter and manage sales orders from PO receipt through shipment
  • Coordinate ECNs and communicate impact to customers
  • Handle sample requests and RMA intake
  • Enter and monitor customer complaints in call center, and aid customers, using support departments as needed
  • Maintain open order reports and digital portals as needed
  • Provide timely, professional, and effective communication to customers both internally and externally
  • Provide first-line technical support (lead times, alternates, basic spec questions)
  • Resolve routine customer issues (delivery, invoice, certifications, etc.)
  • Participate in meetings as appropriate to support duties

Education

 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with strong experience



Requirements

 

  • 2–5 years Inside Sales, Sales Support, or Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical aptitude and comfort learning how to read drawings
  • Proficiency with ERP (IFS experience a plus) and CRM systems (Pipeliner experience a plus)
  • Extreme attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent phone and email communication skills
