Summary:

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Inside Sales & Marketing Intern to join our team in the food distribution industry. This internship provides exposure to B2B sales strategies, customer relationship management, and food service marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, creative, and ready to support both day-to-day operations and long-term growth efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with maintaining and updating customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Support the inside sales team by preparing quotes, order forms, and tracking sales metrics.
  • Follow up on leads and inquiries via phone and email.
  • Conduct research on prospective customers, competitors, and market trends.
  • Help generate sales reports and analyze performance data.

Marketing Activities:

  • Assist in developing and distributing marketing materials (email campaigns, flyers, social posts).
  • Support promotions and product launches aimed at foodservice clients (e.g., restaurants, schools, institutions).
  • Create and update content for social media, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and assist in customer segmentation efforts.
  • Track campaign performance and assist in measuring ROI.

About You:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in sales, marketing, and the food distribution industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); Canva or design software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and social media platforms.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable making phone calls and interacting with customers in a professional manner.
